The 2016 list of Canada’s 100 Best Restaurant

The 2016 list of Canada’s 100 best restaurants was just released yesterday. Now, I know that lists are often controversial and not always appreciated but if you’re a restaurant, there’s no denying that being on such a list will bring awareness to your establishment and put you on the map. I also know that I often consult such lists when I’m travelling to new destinations. I am always careful to check how the list is tallied up but it does help narrow down my choices, which is always appreciated.

The 72 judges for this particular list hail from all provinces and are chefs, restaurateurs, informed consumers, industry leaders, food writers and bloggers, including yours truly 🙂 Each jury member was asked to submit a ranked list of their 10 best dining experiences. Those lists were then tallied up and translated into this 100 best restaurant list.
