A few months ago, I wrote about
Royal Canadian Mondays at Pastaga [RCMP] which were making a comeback for the second year in a row. The RCMP season started with a
Paris Popup by Montreal-born sommelière Laura Vidal and chef Harry Cummins. The couple was making a stop in Montreal before embarking on a world-wind tour with their popup events that brought them to New York, California and as far away as Japan. This September, they are back in la belle province and are making a stop at Quebec City’s Le Bouchon du Pied Bleu on September 9th and Montreal’s Pub Sir Joseph on the 12th.

For having lived the Paris Popup experience once, I can guarantee the two Quebec events will be delicious ones. Chef Cummins’ cooking philosophy is to use local products wherever he may be, Japan, Montreal or the west coast. The events in Quebec are organized in collaboration with
Vins de Provence and will be all about “putting emphasis on rosé wines as part of a demystification that rosé is only for apero!” declares Laura Vidal.
The Montreal event is unfortunately sold out but you can still place your name on a waiting list. The Quebec event still has a few spots left.
