David Chang, Daniel Boulud, Albert Adria, Normand Laprise, David McMillian & Frédéric Morin as well as several other great Canadian and international chefs and food industry personalities will all be gathered at this year’s Terroir Symposium in Toronto on May 12th, 2014.
When I attended last year’s Terroir Symposium under the theme “For the love of food”, I had no clue that it would become one of my favourite food events of the year. The day-long conference was a great gathering of some of the best food personalities in the world (including Noma’s Rene Redzepi) and I came away inspired and awe-struck by the speakers’ generosity, humbleness and utter passion. The Symposium brings together industry professionals from across Canada – and the world – in an effort to provide a forum to develop relationships and educate.
I am very excited about this year’s theme of “Growing Ideas” and am looking forward to the speakers and the demos which will all take place over the course of one day. Each speaker will share a personal snippet on the theme of “community building” and “creative collaboration” to illustrate how the food industry works collaboratively towards a greater common goal. If you are in the food industry or just a passionate food lover, then this year’s 8th annual Terroir Hospitality Industry Symposium is not to be missed.
I have been looking forward to this year’s event since last year’s ended. I am especially looking forward to meeting some of the talented and passionate chefs, food writers, beverage curators and businessmen who will be there. If last year is any indication, this year’s event will be fantastic!
