I have been lucky enough to travel to many interesting spots this year, from Northern Quebec to Jamaica, Chicago, New York, London and Beirut. Thank you all for being an integral part of this great adventure I have embarked on when I started writing this blog.

Below are a few Instagram shots of my travels with the hopes that this year brings you love, good health, great food and lots of traveling, far and near. I wish you all a very happy New Year!

February 2012: New York City

I went to New York for a family celebration back in February but I still managed to get a few good eats in.

May 2012: Chicago

I went to Chicago for the first time this past May and I absolutely fell in love with this beautiful, vibrant city, rich in interesting architecture and with an outstanding food scene, that I chronicled in a few articles.

June 2012: Toronto

I spent a weekend in Toronto for a friend’s wedding in June. I didn’t have much time to eat out unfortunately but I did bring back some SOMA chocolates.

June 2012: New York City again

I went back to New York City for a long weekend in June and tried the new NoMad restaurant from the Eleven Madison Park team.

July 2012: Across Canada on Via Rail’s The Canadian

In July, I was invited to travel across Canada on Via Rail’s The Canadian train. We spent 4 amazing days on the train going from Toronto to Vancouver.

We traveled through the lakes and forests of Ontario…

… to the beautiful prairies of Manitoba and Saskatchewan…

… to the majestic Rockies and Jasper National Park

July 2012: Vancouver

I fell in love with Vancouver during the 3 days I spent there in July. The weather cooperated in creating a magical city with mountains, beaches, beautiful vistas and delicious food. I never wrote about it but I will soon.

October 2012: Mont Tremblant, Quebec

I spent the weekend in a beautiful suite at Côté Nord Tremblant in October and the fall colours were just breathtaking!

October 2012: Parcours Gourmand, Quebec

I was invited by Le Parcours Gourmand to go on a culinary tour of Quebec city and its surroundings. We visited vineyards, chocolate shops, restaurants, and so many interesting small purveyors of amazing products in Quebec.

November 2012: Jamaica

The Jamaican Tourism Board invited me and 4 other bloggers on a culinary tour of beautiful Jamaica. Coffee and spice plantation tours, Jamaica’s restaurant week, jerk joints, etc. were all on the program.

December 2012: Lebanon

I went back to Lebanon for the first time in 3 years to spend the holidays with my family and to eat at a few interesting places of course… Blog posts to come soon.

December 2012 / January 2013: London

I decided to end the year in London with some good friends on the way back from Lebanon. I’m only here for a couple of days but they’re enough to reconnect, catch up and make plans for the next reunion… and that is happiness.
