Uniburger’s classic burger with bacon

Montreal’s Uniburger is my favourite spot to get a burger in town. This is no gourmet burger with foie gras or a single origin cheese toppings. It’s a good, old fashioned, “fast food” style burger but it’s fresh and made to order, using an excellent and flavourful meat patty, their very own creamy secret sauce and a great, soft potato roll. Owner Younes Bengeloune did lot of research and put in countless hours to come up with a recipe for this perfect, no-frills burger and the excellent crispy fries. When I get a craving for a burger, this is usually where I head.

To celebrate its 3rd anniversary, Uniburger is inviting some of Montreal’s best chefs to come up with their interpretation of the perfect burger. Every day from March 14th to March 20th, one of these chefs’ unique burgers will be offered (for one day only!) at Uniburger’s flagship store in Montreal’s Quartier Latin. What’s even better is that all profits from the day’s burger will be going to that chef’s charity of choice, so in reality, you’ll be eating a burger (or 5) for a good cause, so you just have no choice but to help out. And you’ll have 7 chances to do it throughout the week. I’m aiming to be there 2 or 3 times next week. I mean, just take a look at the #UNIBURGERWEEK line up (below) and tell me which ones will you be trying?
