Quite a lot of ink has already been spilled about this fall’s greatest gourmand event: MTL à TABLE. At the risk of sounding redundant–and if you just happen to be living under a rock–Montreal is hosting its restaurant week MTL à TABLE for the 4th consecutive year from October 29 to November 8, 2015. Over the course of 11 days, 159 participating restaurants will be offering 3-course set menus for $21, $31 or $41.
In addition to all of that delliciousness–and as if that wasn’t enough already–there are culinary tours, wine events, contests and a whole collection of fabulous parallel events happening, the most important of which is, of course, brunch!
If, like me, you are a lover of that most precious of weekend activities, then you’ll appreciate the fact that 20 restaurants will be offering a 21$ brunch as part of MTL à TABLE this year and if I were you, I’d start working on an action plan to try and fit in as many of those brunches as possible over the course of MTL à TABLE’s two weekends. I am still debating whether I can fit two brunches in on each one of those two Saturdays and Sundays. That makes a total of 8 spots, which should just about be enough. However (joy!), some of the restaurants such as Ace Deli & Bar and Les Affamés, are open for brunch almost every day. And if you can’t make it to all of them (and really, who are we kidding, no one can), I highly recommend these select few:
EVOO for their refined cuisine and for the homemade Nutelloo.
Lili.Co for the great decor and the banana pancakes with bacon, dulce de leche and maple syrup.
Brasserie T! because they just started making brunch again and their food is always fabulous.
Tapas 24 snack bar because a brunch that ends with churros con dulce de leche should never be missed.
Les cavistes because chicken and corn waffles!
So, what’s your plan for brunch during MTL à TABLE? Where will you eat? How many brunches will you fit in?
