My travels have brought me to as far away places as South Africa or Hong Kong but sometimes, spending the weekend with my girlfriends in a chalet just over an hour north of Montreal is just what the doctor ordered. That’s exactly what I did this past weekend when I spent two glorious nights in a Tremblant Living 4-bedroom, 4-bathroom luxurious “chalet” in the Laurentians with Ève, Gabrielle and Catherine.

I put quotes around the word “chalet” because this is not your typical, middle-of-the-woods, camping spot. These properties are multiple-bedrooms luxury retreats. You can pick your favourite or whichever one suits your party best among the Tremblant Living cottages, chalets, condos and villas. Whether you need a swimming pool, a jacuzzi, space for 20 people or proximity to Mont-Tremblant’s ski hills, Tremblant Living has a property for you.

We stayed at the Panache 764 condo, a 2600 square feet luxury estate with 4 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, a fireplace, an outdoor jacuzzi, pool and ping pong tables, a wine bar, a gas barbecue, indoor parking, cable TV and high speed WiFi. They even offer a “fridge fill” service if you don’t feel like buying your own groceries. There were only 4 of us there this past weekend but the condo sleeps 12 comfortably. Now I’m not the skiing type but if you are, this townhouse is a ski in/ski out property from which you can slide directly to the slopes. It’s surrounded by forests but is located only minutes away from the Tremblant Village and has a shuttle service to take you there throughout the day. I even got to test the concierge service and I can tell you that they are efficient, courteous and quick.

Our wine and cheese evening at Tremblant Living’s Panache 764 townhouse

We spent the weekend cooking, eating, napping and talking. We went to the village to enjoy a day at Tremblant Gourmand and lunch created by chef Eric Gonzalez at the Casino de Tremblant but couldn’t wait to get back “home” to relax some more.

You can reserve your week-end or seasonal getaway easily through the Tremblant Living website. They have plenty of homes available to suit everyone’s needs.

Many thanks to Tremblant Living for offering me this much needed weekend getaway.
